Having the right crochet hook is key. It can make or break your whole experience learning to crochet. I learned the hard way and nearly packed it in but with trial and error, I have discovered the perfect hooks for me.
There are various sized hooks that you can buy. The smallest one that I have purchased is a clover soft touch, 1.5mm in size. I use this when I am creating leaves or flowers. The hook is quite sharp as it is so small so be careful if you decide to use it.
The largest hook that I have purchased is an aluminium 10.00mm. I would use something this size for scarves and hats. The yarn that would need this size hook is quite thick and bulky. I will discuss yarn in a seperate post.
